Jesus, the messianic King, teaches us what we need to know about rightly relating to God, rightly relating to each other, and how to live a God-honoring life.
- Jesus—the object of our faith—is eternal deity. You can therefore trust Him with everything.
- Jesus’s name means “Yahweh saves.” He came into the world to save you.
- Jesus is Immanuel—meaning “God with us.” Jesus is with us no matter where we go.
- Don’t be surprised if you encounter people with opposite views of Jesus. Some love Him; others hate Him.
- Repentance isn’t an act of mere lip service. It needs to be proven by actions.
- Beware: the devil will seek to tempt you and bring you down.
- Don’t limit the Lord by your human expectations about what He can or cannot do. He is a miracle-worker.
- God loves you so much it hurts Him. Don’t ever doubt it.
- Jesus—and not your ego—needs to reign on the throne of your heart. He must increase. You must decrease.
- Demons will seek to attack you. Fear not—Jesus has authority over them.
- Jesus invites you to follow Him day by day, moment by moment.
- If you’re down on yourself because of sin, you need a spiritual physician named Jesus.
- Jesus teaches the path to true happiness and blessing. The question is, will you follow this path?
- Don’t isolate yourself from the society around you. Influence it for Christ!
- Do whatever you need to do to stop lust from intruding upon your mind.
- Christians should so consistently tell the truth that no one ever doubts their word.
- As hard as it is to do, we are called to love those who are unlovable in our midst.
- Don’t be earth-focused. Be heaven-focused.
- Life is fragile. Handle with prayer.
- Treat others with the same respect and consideration you appreciate receiving.
- Your wisest course of action is to build your life on Christ’s words.
