KEY IDEAS
Don’t fret over the seeming inequities of life. God often uses difficult circumstances—even painful circumstances—as a means of disciplining His children. We can trust Him because He knows what He’s doing.

- God disciplines His children when they go astray and refuse to repent.
- God is perfectly wise. He knows just what form of discipline will work best in our lives.
- Father knows best! Always trust that God’s plan is the best plan for your life.
- Never forget: God’s ways are not our ways. His actions are beyond our finite understanding.
BSF 2022-23 * Lesson 28
Q1.
Q2.
Q3a. LORD, the eternal I AM and WILL BE. Why do You not hear my prayer?! How long must I beg You for Your help?! Everything is in chaos. Everything I see on the internet and in the news is violence, destruction and misery. It is all around me and just gets worse. Must I endure this forever? Must I live among those who love to argue and fight? Who outnumber the righteous? Who reject Your truth and Your justice?
Q3b. If there is a God why does He allow such evil to exist? Why did He make evil to begin with? If He is good why does He do nothing amidst all of the suffering? How can He just sit and watch what is done in secret, even to little children, and do nothing?!
Q4a. Look closer! I have been doing something! I am doing something! (John 5:17) But you don't see it! Even if you could see it you wouldn't believe it! John 5:17
Q4b. The cruel and evil Babylonians, your worst enemy, I am raising up to march across the entire world and conquer other lands. Even Judah will be conquered and her people taken into exile.
Q5. Is Troy Polamalu God? Always working. God has been silent in my life at times. And it was unbearable. But that didn't mean He wasn't working! Eph 1:11; Matt 17:15
Q6a. Eternal I AM. Holy. You are faithful to Your promises. You do not take delight in hurting us and You do not intend to destroy us completely. You have raised up the cruel and evil Babylonians for a reason. In this case it is to correct us and to punish us for our sins.
Q6b. Do You plan to wipe us out forever? Will You let them get away with this forever?!
Q6c. What I see in the news and all around me really tortures me! I am tormented in my soul day and night! When evil has been done to me I have struggled, like Habakkuk, as to why He allowed it and for how long! 2 Pet 2:8
Q7. Climb up and see from God's perspective. Look further! Keep looking! Wait patiently! Wait to hear what He says and what He will do. Ps 73:17-20
Q8.
1) Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
2) But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.
Q9. Their day is coming! You will get what you deserve. Everything that you have trusted in, all that you have clung to, and every terrible thing that you have done to others will turn and come upon you!
Q10. The LORD. He is LORD. There is no other. He is still on the throne. He has not changed. He will have the final word. He will bring justice. He will punish all sin. And you will have no say in the matter.
Q11a. Help us again as in years gone by. We are in deep need. Remember Your mercy!
Q11b. Do the same! Settle myself down. God is still on the throne. Ask for His help and mercy. Let not your hearts be troubled!
Q12a. Certainly delivering His people from their slavery in Egypt! He was moving before anyone even knew. He came. He sent the plagues upon Egypt. He parted the Red Sea. He took Israel beyond the Jordan into the Promised Land. He destroyed the Egyptians and evil nations within Canaan.
Q12b. He brought me this far. Through many dangers, toils and snares. I have already come. Tis grace hath brought me safe this far and grace will lead me home.
Q13a. I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us.

Q14. Even if everything around me fails I will rejoice in the LORD. He is my strength! He will sustain me. He is ALL I need! Dan 3:18
Q14b. I believe in God with ALL of my heart. Not just about Him but IN Him! All that He is. He is not a man. He changes not. I will never accuse Him of being or doing anything that is NOT Him. He never sleeps or slumbers. He is ALWAYS working. He will never fail me. He will never fail. Period.
Q15a. God is sovereign. He gives me the strength to endure anything. He makes my way sure even on mountains of difficulty!
