Highlights.
- Curt Nichols, once again, did a great job talking to and connecting with the Istudents at our all-area dinner. His talk was reviewing 10 Biblical principles that he applied to be successful in life and at Intel. This is a topic that resonates most with Istudents. I am not saying this critically but Istudents are highly materialistic. You can imagine why. They almost always come from poor countries and their future, and that of their families, is highly dependent on their success in school and in getting a high paying job in the US. As we all know, that is putting the cart before the horse and leads to incredible stresses and pressures that many of the students have told me that they just can no longer bare. Curt's talk cut right through to that issue and that pleasing God, and Him alone, must be their success, first and foremost. Here is a copy of the verses Curt used. I highly recommend you think on them for your own life!
- Nica* is still reading her Bible regularly, being discipled weekly, attending Bible study and church faithfully. :) She tells us that she actually hears God literally speaking to her in her heart. This is unusual to us but we have read a lot that this is indeed how God has been reaching Muslims for the last 5-10 years, and through dreams and visions. <<Reference>>
- I was asked to speak at the guys all-area leadership meeting. The topic? Dating-Marriage-Sex. Geesh, why do I get those topics? Why can't I get something easy like Quantum Mechanics ;) Anyway, it went very well and the guys love this topic. Or, maybe they just love girls. Here is what I presented <God: Dating, Sex, Marriage stuff>
- This is mentioned in the Prayer Request below. Megan* has been concistently walking toward the Lord this last year. God has done many great things to reveal Himself to her and her family! (see past Newsletter). About a month she stopped coming to everything (Talk Time, church...) as she is overwhelmed with teaching (8-1) and school (1-9) every day! She has only 2 weeks left. I hope she picks back up where she left off in seeking the Lord. She, and her family, are so close!

Prayer Requests
- Curt Nichols (retired VP from Intel) will be speaking at our all-area International Life dinner this Friday. Pray that God will use his words and life experiences to reach the hearts of the students! There should be close to 100 students there, mostly unbelievers. Pray that God would open their eyes and draw them to Himself. Pray that God would bless him and his wife for blessing both these students and us. <<Yes. All the students at my table discussed intently how to apply the top 2-3 Bible verses that Curt shared. One of my students actually left our discussion to go talk to Curt personally>>
- Continue to pray for Megan*, her husband Jared* and their teenage son Shawn*. They just seem so close now to praying to receive Christ. I think it would be wonderful if the whole family accepts Christ at the same time :) <<Ongoing. Megan* is back but very tired. Teaches from 8-1 and goes to school from 1-9. Every day. Only 2 more weeks to go, though. Still not Christian but moving towards Christ>>
- God would continue to work in the hearts of all the FLC Istudents that are drawn to us! <<Ongoing>>
- For Ana* and Zoey*. Like Megan* that God would start drawing them to Himself and making them aware of their need for Him. <<Ongoing. Ana* has dropped her class this semester. I hope she comes back next semester or we can stay in touch in other ways. Haven't seen Zoey* all month>>
- That we can find ways to accommodate each students busy schedule. They want to be at Talk Time and come to our events but they take their classes extremely serious. <<Ongoing>>
- I am still unsure if I should restart Talk Time at RCC. <<Nope. Next Semester for sure. God just raised up Ted to teach there! :)>>
Admonition
There is a wide-open opportunity for a great work here, although many oppose me. - 1 Cor 16:9
